From EP 0653917 B1 a grill for use outdoors is known in which a wall is inserted between a heat source, in particular a gas burner ring in the lower region of a grill container and a grate for supporting the food to be grilled, the drops from the food to be grilled, especially fat or prevents water on the heat source and collects such drops above the heat source. According to DE 102015109787 B4, a gas burner can be provided with a tilt safety assembly, a connecting pipe of the combustion device being fluidly connected at one end to the tilt safety device.
DE 202007019208 U1 discloses a burner device with a gas burner for a heating boiler, which is assigned a semi-automatic ignition and monitoring device and a pilot burner. The pilot burner is used in normal operation to provide a pilot flame. The invention is based on the object of developing a kettle grill for grilling, cooking or baking food such as meat or fish on a grate or the like, in particular a gas kettle grill, which is preferably suitable for use outdoors and which has better performance when grilling.

A gas kettle grill according to the invention is arranged in a mobile substructure 1 and comprises a grill body 2 and a cover 3, which are connected to one another by at least one hinge 4. The burners 20, 30 are each ignited with their own ignition device 26, 36, which is arranged in a flame protection device 22, 32. The gas supply to the ignition flames takes place via bypasses 23, 33 (FIG. 4) from the gas supply line 21, 31, which are also regulated by the rotary actuator 7.
The pilot lights are constantly in operation and do not go out when a burner turns off (without turning the rotary actuator 7 to position "0") or goes out for other reasons, for example when there is a draft. If a burner accidentally goes out, the outflowing fuel gas is immediately re-ignited and dangerous accumulations of fuel gas in the grill body 2 and outside it are thus avoided. At the same time, a more even grilling is achieved. The pilot flame only goes out when the fuel gas flow is switched off.
The flame protection device 22 comprises the ignition device 26 (FIG. 5), a housing 24 covering this and an associated gas supply 27 which is connected to the bypass 23. It is attached to the inner wall of the grill body 2 by means of a wall bracket 25. The pilot flame emerges from an opening 28 in the housing 24 and strikes the fuel gas flowing out of the burner openings of the large burner 20 at an angle of less than 90 °.
The flame protection device 32 comprises the ignition device 36 (FIG. 6), a housing 34 covering this and an associated gas supply 37 which is connected to the bypass 33.
